Definition Of Thermal Shrinkage Tester

Thermal shrinkage tester is a device used to detect the thermal shrinkage performance of materials, mainly used for real-time automatic measurement of early age concrete shrinkage deformation characteristics and environmental temperature and humidity conditions throughout the entire process. Specifically, the heat shrink tester can test the thermal shrinkage performance and dimensional stability of various films, heat shrink tubes, medicinal pvc hard sheets, backboards, and other materials in liquid media at various temperatures.
Test principle and testing method of thermal shrinkage tester
The experimental principle of the thermal shrinkage tester is based on the principle of air heating. The air temperature is controlled by a temperature control unit to heat the sample in a closed heating chamber. The shrinkage performance of the sample over time is measured by displacement sensors or force sensors, including thermal shrinkage force, cold shrinkage force, shrinkage rate, etc. The specific testing steps are as follows:
Clamp the sample onto the fixture of the thermal shrinkage tester, ensuring that the sample is flat.
Set the heat shrink temperature, and the device begins to heat up.
When the temperature inside the test chamber reaches the set temperature, send the sample into the test chamber.
The sample shrinks due to heat, and the equipment measures real-time shrinkage force and shrinkage rate through force sensors and displacement sensors.
Record the maximum shrinkage force and shrinkage rate, and adjust the thermal shrinkage temperature for retesting if necessary.
After the experiment is completed, issue a test report.
Application fields of thermal shrinkage tester
The thermal shrinkage tester is widely used for testing the thermal shrinkage of packaging materials, helping manufacturers evaluate the thermal shrinkage performance of plastic packaging materials and control product quality. In addition, it is also used to study the size change characteristics of materials in high-temperature environments, which is applicable to various industries and research fields.
