Electronic Tearing Tester: The pendulum is lifted to a certain height, giving it a certain amount of potential energy. When the pendulum swings freely downward, the energy stored in itself is used to tear the sample. By calculating the energy consumed when tearing the sample, the force required to tear the sample can be obtained.

Operating Principle

The pendulum is raised to a specific height to gain potential energy. Upon free release, the pendulum utilizes its stored energy to tear the specimen. By calculating the energy consumed during the tearing process, the force required to tear the specimen is determined (Elmendorf method).
